I was born in Teaneck, New Jersey on June 17, 1963. In 1986 I graduated from The University of South Carolina (B.A. 1986) and then later received an academic scholarship and law degree from Thomas M. Cooley School of Law (JD 1990). I briefly practiced law in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania before I was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 1992 and United States District Court in 1997.
I began my law career in South Carolina as a Charleston County Public Defender. In the latter 1990’s I practiced in the civil law field handling both plaintiff and defense cases, while maintaining a criminal law practice. Since January of 2000 I have been a sole practitioner, with my primary area of focus being on Criminal Defense (DUI, Drug Offenses etc.), and I also handle Personal Injury (Auto Accidents) and Workers Compensation cases.
